- The rifle had been silent: a bug kept its sound, flash and impact settings from reaching it in play. That is fixed, and a listening test now checks the rifle and the pistol on every build.
- Each muzzle flash is randomized and lasts about 34 ms, two frames at 60 fps, yet reads in daylight and at dusk.
- Smoke stays where it was made, and sustained fire leaves the barrel smoking.
- As in a real magazine, every fourth round and the last three are tracers, green for 7.62 mm and red for 5.45 mm, so a stream of them warns you are nearly empty.
- Spring-damper recoil, tuned per weapon, lets bursts climb and settle instead of snapping.
- An empty magazine clicks until you reload.
- The first mission’s puzzles are built into the world: keys, codes in found documents, fuses and a power circuit, valves and water, a radio you tune, and a checkpoint you talk your way through.
- 16 listening checks and 57 automated tests pass.
