Sound

Listen to the valley

Sound you can read.

A weathered civil-defense siren on a metal pole above the corner of a flat roof, with oaks scattered across the dry hillside behind.
Above the village The siren stands over the village roofs on the oak slope. In-engine capture, development build, 15 Oct 2026.
  • Ten physical surfaces now drive what you hear. Footsteps layer the sole and the ground (gravel crunch, board creak, metal ring) and never repeat back to back.
  • Bullets strike by surface. A round passing within a few meters cracks overhead before the report arrives.
  • Shots echo off the ridges, delayed by the real distance at the speed of sound. Rooms in the hut and the house have their own acoustics, and outside, the wind drops away when you step indoors.
  • The Tide now has a voice. A civil-defense siren over Shar carries across the valley. Birds and insects fall silent through the warning. The dosimeter clicks faster as the surge rises and slows inside shelter, and radio static fills the air.
  • 28 automated rule tests pass.
Two whitewashed timber-framed village houses with a narrow gap between them, and a siren pole on the oak-dotted slope behind.
Between the houses The siren pole rises behind a gap between village houses. In-engine capture, development build, 15 Oct 2026.
