Back to the Zagros
A review against the design bible found the scene drifting toward a northern pine wood. We rebuilt it as the Zagros.

The approach now sits in a fold-belt valley about 6 km across: parallel limestone ridges up to about 1.2 km high, a gorge through the southern ridge, bedded benches, and terraces where the slope allows.
252 pines came out. Black poplars went in along the road and the fields, with coppiced scrub on the slopes and about 30,000 dry-steppe plants on the bare ground.
